If you’re in need of a diversion or distraction online, the best form of procrastination has slowly become watching videos on sites such as YouTube or Daily Motion.  However, if it’s humour and comedy videos that you’d rather watch, then there are a number of excellent sites that offer just these types of video, and this article presents five of the best available.

1.        Funny or Die

Will Ferrell’s Funny or Die offers the most focused and user-friendly comedy site.  With the option to ‘kill’ or support a video (giving the site its name, as the video is either funny or dies), and the many celebrities and comedians who upload their own videos to the site, Funny or Die is unparalleled amongst comedy video sites, both easily navigable and bursting with the best humour.

2.        College Humour

Deftly named, this site offers a more acerbic and user-controlled selection of videos aimed towards our particular demographic.  Many of the videos are home videos or other such submissions, giving the site a diverse range, and the simple search function makes it the second best on the list.

3.        Kontraband

Much like College Humour, Kontraband has a mixture of both outright comedy videos and user-submitted or home movies.  With another clear interface and search function, as well as a ‘Ninja’ rating system, this quirky but interesting site holds its own against the bigger competitors.

4.        Cracked

Verging very much more towards an American sensibility, Cracked often features user-edited clip vids, which are fairly terrible, but many of the videos found on the site (particularly those in channels, for instance BritAnNick) are hilarious.

5.        Ebaums World

Fairly childish, Ebaums World nevertheless hosts some of the more ridiculous videos seen online - and though the immaturity does shine through, certain videos do rise above it.
